How to Cancel an Android App Subscription If You Are No Longer Have the Android Device

Did you just migrate from Android to iPhone and forgot to cancel the subscriptions on some paid apps on your previous device?

When you migrate from Android to iPhone, you can continue the subscription on a certain app, as long as the app is available for iPhone. But what if you are no longer the need app as you have found a better alternative?

In Android, when you subscribe to a paid plan of a certain app, the subscription transaction (payment) is handled by Google Play. That being said, when you switch to iPhone, you can’t cancel the subscription via your mobile device (iPhone). But you can still cancel the subscription via Google Play web app.

Cancelling an Android App Subscription via Google Play Web App

First off, visit Google Play web app and login with your Google account. Just make sure to login with the same account as the one you used to subscribe to the app. Once logged in, click Payment methods on the left panel then click the Edit payment methods link.

On the next screen, click the Subscriptions & services tab. Select the app you want to cancel the subscription of and click Manage.

Scroll down to the Subscription status section and click Manage subscription.

A new tab will be open after you click the link above. Click Manage once again.

On the appearing window, click Cancel subscription.

On the next step, you will be asked some questions related to why you want to cancel the subscription. Simply select your answer and click Continue.
