How to Grow Your Business with Minimal Effort

When you are trying to grow your business, unless you are very organized, it can be a bit like juggling eggs. You will undoubtedly feel that your eyes and ears need to be everywhere, but unfortunately, this is not possible, and you will end up not only wearing yourself out but also making mistakes that could have been easily avoided.

So, what you need to do is take a step back and look at the bigger picture and see where it is that others can be of service to you and your business.

Look After Your Existing Customers

Although you may want lots of new customers fighting their way to your door with loads of money that they cannot wait to hand over to you, the chances are that the best customers you will have are the ones that you have already got. They are definitely the easiest ones to start selling to, especially if you have cared for them, kept your communication pathways open, and your relationship strong.

Most customers like continuity, so once they have brought from you, if you treat them properly, you could very well have that customer for the span of your relationship. Moreover, you could very well find that if they are particularly happy with your products or services that they will recommend you to others and will therefore help grow your customer base for you.

Expand Your Workforce

You may think that expanding your workforce does not sound so much like minimal effort as adding extra work to your already overloaded day. However, this need not be the case. By employing hybrid or even remote workers, you will be indeed cutting down on the size of premises that your business requires during its growing period.

Of course, there are serious things that will need to be looked into, and you should make sure that you invest in good quality software such as Microsoft 365 services, not only for helping your remote and hybrid workers with access to your internet system but also making sure that they are secure and safe during the time that they are working.

Take Advantage of Outsourcing when Possible

With this in mind, you could put the hybrid and remote working on the back burner, especially if your business has not yet got the financial situation to hire lots of new employees and instead make use of those businesses and professional people that are offering their skills and knowledge on the outsourcing scene.

This means that you will be hiring these people or businesses for a project rather than for everyday work. You will be quoted a price upfront for the project that you wish them to work on for you, and as far as any customer is aware, they will be working for you. In short, they will not then be using your “time” to promote themselves or their business to your customers.

This is a great move, as in the long term, you will be paying less for the skills and experience that you require to get the project done to a superior level than you would if you had to pay an annual salary to these people.
