How to Automatically Delete Emails from a Certain Sender in Gmail

The built-in filter feature of Gmail is really useful to get rid of unwanted emails. You can, for instance, use it to automatically delete emails from someone you consider a spammer. You can also use it to filter emails by keyword, size, and so on. In this article, we will show you how to use the Gmail filter feature to automatically delete emails from a certain sender.

First, login to Gmail with your account and click the tiny arrow icon on the search bar.

Type the email address of the sender you want to delete the emails from on the From field and click the Create filter button.

On the next step, select the Delete it option and click the Create filter button.

That’s it. From now on, every time the concerned sender is trying to email you, her/his email will be automatically deleted by Gmail.

How to delete an existing filter

If you change your mind and decided to delete the filter you have created, you can go to the Settings page by clicking the gear icon on the upper right corner and select Settings.

On the Settings page, go to the Filter and Blocked Addresses tab. Select a filter you want to delete from the list and click delete. If you want to edit the filter, simply click edit.
