Speaking of Google Chrome, we can never far away from tab. Everything about Google Chrome is tab. When you want to add some settings, you will have a new tab. When you want to access browsing history, you will have a new tab. When you want to check a download progress, again, you will have a new tab.
Google Chrome provides you a three dots icon located on the top right corner to allow you accessing all menus, including the Setting menus.
Some people may prefer to see the Settings menu to be displayed on a new window, instead of new tab. Tab is only for surfing the web, not to add some settings. If you really want to do this, you have to go further since Google Chrome did’t offer any menu to get it.
- Launch your Google Chrome and type “chrome://flags/#enable-settings-window” on the address bar and you will see the following options.
- You should see a section called “Show settings in a new window” in a yellow highlight. Choose the “Enabled” option on the drop down menu and press the “RELAUNCH NOW” button on the bottom.
- Go to the three dots icon of your Google Chrome and choose Settings. By now, you will have a new window, instead of tab, every time you open the Settings menu.
