How to Change Your Gmail Password

Regularly changing Google account password is also be a great step to take to keep your account safe. Google account itself is an account that you can use to access Google’s services. From Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Android, and so on. Changing your password of a certain service, say Gmail, means that you also change your password of other Google’s services. If you want to change your Gmail password, you can do so via Google Account, which you can access via the Gmail dashboard as well.

To change your Google account via Gmail, click your profile icon on the top-right corner, followed by the Google Account button.

You will be directed to the Google Account page. On this page, click the Security menu on the left panel. You can change your password by clicking the Password option under the Signing in to Google section.

How to change Gmail password via Android

In addition to changing your Gmail password via the web browser, you can also do so via your Android smartphone. Same as on the web, you will also be directed to the Google Account page to change your Gmail password.

Launch the Gmail app on your Android. Tap the profile icon on the top-right corner and tap the Manage your Google Account button.

You will be directed to the Google Account screen. To change the password, go to the Security tab. Tap the Password option under the Signing in to Google section to change the password.
