Do you want to create a tutorial video? If yes, then it’s crucial enough to censor sensitive parts such as username, password, credit info, activation key, and so on. Filmora9 comes with a feature that makes it easy for you to censor a certain part of a video. Read on to find out how.
Filmora9 is an easy-to-use video editor everyone can use. This video editor is a perfect option if you want to edit a video, yet has no video editing background at all. Most importantly, Filmora9 is relatively affordable. Only $69.99 (one-time fee).
To start to censor a video, first, launch the Filmora9 app on your computer and create a new project (File -> New Project). Import the video you want to censor to the media library by going to File -> Import Media -> Import Media Files. Or, you can simply press the Ctrl+I keys on the keyboard.
Once the video is imported, drag it to the timeline.
Click the Effects tab on the toolbar and search for Mosaic. You can use the search box to ease your job.
Filmora9 offers 4 mosaic types you can choose from. Select the one you like and drop it to the timeline. Place it above the video.
You can censor a certain part of the video (on a certain second or minute) by moving the mosaic effect rightward or leftward. To censor the entire video, simply extend the mosaic effect.
You can double-click the mosaic effect to open the properties panel. The properties panel allows you to set a mosaic type, blur amount, and opacity. Click the OK button to apply the changes you made.
You can also set the mosaic size and well as the position. To do so, simply drag the mosaic on the preview panel to move and resize it.
If you want to add another mosaic on the same second or minute, you can add a new video track and copy the existing mosaic and paste it right above the currently exist mosaic.
