Filmora9 is a great option if you are looking for an easy-to-use video editor. This tool comes with an interface that is very easy to use, even for a new user that hasn’t had video editing experience before. For very basic video editing such as cropping a video, Filmora9 is second to none. You can crop a video effortlessly with Filmora9. Just like when you are cropping an image with Photoshop or GIMP.
First, launch the Filmora9 app on your computer and import the video you want to crop by going to File -> Import Media -> Import Media Files. Or you can simply press the Ctrl+I keys on your keyboard. Once the video is imported, drag it to the timeline.

Click the video on the timeline and click the Crop and Zoom tool or simply press Alt+C keys on the keyboard.

Select an aspect ratio and drag the selector to a video area you want to retain. Filmora9 offers 5 aspect ratio options. If you want to set the aspect ratio yourself, you can select Custom. Click the OK button once you are done selecting the area.

Click the EXPORT button to export the cropped video.

On the Export dialog, select your preferred video format, video name, location of the exported video as well as the resolution. Click the EXPORT button once again.

Please note that Filmora9 is a freemium tool. If you use the free version, your video will contain a watermark. You can buy a Filmora9 license for $69.99 (one-time purchase) to remove the watermark.
