Digital artists will never enough with the default patterns offered by Photoshop. Thankfully, Photoshop allows you to install additional patterns in case you need ones. You will need unique patterns when you want to create unique images with Photoshop. In Photoshop, patterns are available with the file extension of .PAT.
While you can install additional Photoshop patterns, finding a website that provides free Photoshop patterns might can be another problem.
I have discovered some websites that provide free Photoshop patterns. In case you need to install new Photoshop patterns, following is the list of websites you can visit.
1. Brusheezy
Brusheezy is the first destination for those needing free Photoshop patterns. In general, it is a great resource for Photoshop users. Not only you can use it download Photoshop patterns, but also Photoshop brushes as well as PSDs. You can download your preferred Photoshop patterns on this site without needing to create an account fist. While you can download Photoshop patterns for free, there are also premium pattern packages you can download. Every pattern you downloaded from this site can be used for any purpose, including commercial. It’s just, you are prompted to give attribution to Brusheezy. Brushheezy comes with a clean, easy-to-use interface. It has a handy search box.
2. FBrushes
Same as Brusheezy, FBrushes is also a great resource for Photoshop users, especially digital artists. The Photoshop elements offered by this website is not limited to patterns, but also brushes. The minor thing about FBrushes is that it has a less friendly interface, at least if compared to Brusheezy above. FBrushes itself adopts CC BY-SA 3.0 license. The points of this license is much the same as Brusheezy rules. Yo can use the patterns you have downloaded for any purpose. One thing you need to do, you should give a credit to the associated author. The rest, there is nothing you need to worry about regarding the use of the patterns.
3. myPhotoshopBrushes
myPhotoshopBrushes has several thing in common to Brusheezy. First, it has a simple, yet lovely interface with a handy search box lies on the upper center area of the website, allowing you to easily search the patterns you need. Second, it also doesn’t specifically offer patterns, but also other elements like brushes and gradients. Third, the usage rules of the materials you downloaded from this site are also the same whereby you are allowed to use the patterns you have download for any purpose, but it would be illegal to use the patterns for commercial use without giving any credit to myPhotoshopBrushes.
4. BrushLovers
Another good resource for Photoshop users. You can also consider visiting BrushLovers every time you need new Photoshop patterns for certain projects. There is no detailed information regarding the use of the provided patterns, but I think it won’t be a problem to use the patterns you have downloaded (and installed) as long as you give a credit to BrushLovers. Same as all websites above, BrushLovers doesn’t also specifically provide Photoshop patterns, but also other elements like brushes and gradients.
5. Brushez
Last but not least, Brushez is also a nice website if you need a new Photoshop pattern for your project. There are tens of free Photoshop patterns you can discover and download on this site. Same as BrushLovers, this website doesn’t also provide a specific rule on how to use the patterns you have downloaded. The safest way to use the patterns you have downloaded, especially for commercial use, is to give a credit to Brushez.
