How to Fix This Issue – CHKDSK Is Not Available for RAW Drives

As soon as your computer hard drive becomes RAW, you cannot use it normally anymore. When you attempt to open it, you will receive an error message saying “You need to format the disk in Drive *: before you can use it”. Please think twice before you click any button. Method 2. How to use the Windows File Explorer to format a RAW drive

1. Go to This PC, Find the RAW drive and right-click it –> select Format… from the pop-out window.

2. Select the file system, after that, type the Volume label. (Optionally, You can also select other information if necessary.)
